Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: My brother, Qatada bin An-Nau'man said, "A man performed the night prayer late at night in the lifetime of the Prophet and he read: 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One,' (112.1) and read nothing besides that. The next morning a man went to the Prophet ,~ and told him about that . (The Prophet replied the same as (in Hadith 532) above.)

Hadith Commentary:
Having special love for this surah and making it a regular recitation is an elixir for success in both worlds, because it contains the exposition of pure monotheism (tawhid) and condemnation of all forms of polytheism (shirk), as well as the uprooting of false beliefs.

Explanation:
This hadith will be mentioned in full later; in it, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) appointed a man as the leader of an army. He would lead his companions in prayer and would conclude his recitation in every rak‘ah with ﴿Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad﴾.

When the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) heard this, he said: Tell him that Allah the Exalted also loves him.

In another narration, it is stated: The love for ﴿Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad﴾ has admitted you into Paradise.

In a third hadith, it is mentioned: Whoever recites ﴿Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad﴾ one hundred times before sleeping, on the Day of Resurrection the Lord will say: My servant! Enter Paradise from whichever gate on your right you wish.

By reciting this surah three times, one attains the reward of completing the entire Qur’an.
