Narrated Musa bin Abi Aisha: That he asked Sa`id bin Jubair regarding (the statement of Allah). 'Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur'an) to make haste therewith.' He said, "Ibn `Abbas said that the Prophet used to move his lips when the Divine Inspiration was being revealed to him. So the Prophet was ordered not to move his tongue, which he used to do, lest some words should escape his memory. 'It is for Us to collect it' means, We will collect it in your chest;' and its recitation' means, We will make you recite it. 'But when We recite it (i.e. when it is revealed to you), follow its recital; it is for Us to explain it and make it clear,' (i.e. We will explain it through your tongue).

Hadith Commentary:

In another narration, it is explicitly mentioned that after this guidance, when the angel would bring revelation, you would attentively listen to the revelation he presented.
When Jibril (alayhis salam) would depart, you would, as promised, recite it in the same manner as he had recited it.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of the Beginning of Revelation, Hadith: 5)

In this narration, there is further clarification that Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) said to his distinguished student Sa'id ibn Jubayr (radi Allahu anhu):
"I will show you how to move your lips just as the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to move his."
Then Sa'id ibn Jubayr (radi Allahu anhu) said to his student Musa ibn Abi Ayyashah:
"I will show you how to move your lips just as I saw Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) moving his lips."
In the terminology of the hadith scholars, such a hadith is called a "musalsal hadith." From this, one can gauge the effort and diligence of the hadith scholars regarding the narrations.
We have explained this further in the Book of the Beginning of Revelation; please refer to it there.
