Hadith Commentary:
Second Station:
The second station is mentioned by the name of Sharaf al-Rawha.
When traveling from Madinah Munawwarah to Makkah Mukarramah, the upper part of this settlement is called Sharaf al-Rawha, and the part that comes after leaving the settlement is called Mansarif al-Rawha.
There are two mosques here:
One is for the local people, which is large, and the other is a small mosque.
In this second station, the place where the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) prayed was only one.
Abdullah ibn Umar (radi Allahu anhu) would depart from the place of Rawha after midday had passed, but he would perform the Zuhr prayer upon reaching this place.
Similarly, on the occasion of returning from Makkah Mukarramah, if he passed by here at the end of the night, he would stay here and perform the Fajr prayer at this place.
Both of these mosques remain in Rawha, and the people of this area know them.
According to the statement of Abdullah ibn Umar (radi Allahu anhu), this small mosque was also not built on the exact place where the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) prayed.
