Hadith Commentary:
By "Lizam" is meant the destruction of the disbelievers of Quraysh in the Battle of Badr. By "Rum" is meant the dominance of the Romans over the Persians, and by "Dukhan" is meant the smoke that appeared in the atmosphere due to the severity of famine.

Although the incident of the smoke has already occurred, near the end of times smoke will also appear.

As Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu narrates that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said:
“Hasten to perform righteous deeds before six things occur: the rising of the sun from the west, or the appearance of the smoke, or the emergence of the Dajjal, or the emergence of the Beast of the Earth (Dabbat al-Ard), or the appointed time (death) coming to one of you, or the general event (the establishment of the Hour) befalling all.”
