Hadith 4758

And Ahmad bin Shabeeb narrated, he said: My father Shabeeb bin Saeed narrated to us, from Yunus bin Yazid, from Ibn Shihab, from Urwah, and from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: May Allah have mercy on the early emigrant women. When Allah the Exalted revealed the verse «وليضربن بخمرهن على جيوبهن‏» "and let them draw their veils over their bosoms" (so that the chest and neck, etc. are not visible), they tore their sheets and made veils out of them.

Hadith Commentary:
Ahmad ibn Shubayb is among the teachers (shuyukh) of Imam al-Bukhari, rahimahullah.
Perhaps Imam al-Bukhari did not hear this narration directly from him, which is why he did not use the word "haddathana" (he narrated to us). Ibn al-Mundhir has connected (wasal) this narration.
