حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ ، وَابْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ ، يُحَدِّثَانِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ وَقَدْ نَصَبُوا الْقُدُورَ : " أَكْفِئُوا الْقُدُورَ " .
Narrated Al-Bara' and Ibn Abi `Aufa: On the day of Khaibar when the cooking pots were put on the fire, the Prophet said, "Turn the cooking pots upside down."

Hadith Commentary:
This narration is extremely brief.
In another narration, there is some detail that on the day of Khaybar, hunger afflicted us, so people began slaughtering domestic donkeys and started cooking their meat.
During this, an announcer from the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) made an announcement: "Turn your pots upside down."
