Hadith Commentary:
The heartfelt desire of a true believer in Allah is that he may be able to sacrifice his life in the path of Allah.
If this passion is absent, then one should be concerned about the state of one’s faith.
Hazrat Haram bin Milhan (radi Allahu anhu) expressed this reality at the time of his martyrdom.
The Divine statement is: ﴿إنَّ اللّہَ اشتَری مِنَ المُومِنِینَ أنفُسَھُم وَأموَالَھُم بِأنَّ لَھُمُ الجَنَّة﴾ ()
“Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their wealth in exchange for Paradise.” (al-Tawbah: 111)
“Verily, Allah has made a transaction with the believers: their lives and their wealth in return for Paradise.”

Hadith Commentary:

The final action of Hazrat Haram bin Milhan (radi Allahu anhu) indicates his perfect bravery and the joy and happiness he felt at being presented before the Divine Court. He was aware that the blood of a martyr is not something impure; rather, on the Day of Resurrection, it will emit the fragrance of musk and amber.
This is the very reason that martyrs are not given a ritual bath (ghusl); instead, they are buried in their blood-stained bodies.

In this hadith, there is an indication towards the wisdom behind not giving a ritual bath (ghusl) to a martyr.
And Allah knows best.
