Hadith Commentary:

From the mention of these ahadith, the purpose of Imam Bukhari rahimahullah is to show that Abu Mas’ud Uqbah bin Amr al-Ansari radi Allahu anhu is a Badri Companion, but there is some difference of opinion regarding his participation in the Battle of Badr. Most scholars are of the view that he is considered a Badri due to his residence in Badr, not because he participated in the battle itself. However, the correct position is that he is a Badri because he participated in the Battle of Badr. Thus, in the second hadith presented by Imam Bukhari rahimahullah, it is explicitly stated that he took part in the Battle of Badr. Furthermore, affirmation is given precedence over negation. Based on this principle, his participation in the Battle of Badr is certain.

It should be noted that the daughter of Abu Mas’ud Uqbah bin Amr al-Ansari radi Allahu anhu, Umm Bishr, was first married to Sa’id bin Zayd, and later she married Hasan bin Ali radi Allahu anhu, from whom Zayd bin Hasan radi Allahu anhu was born. In this respect, Abu Mas’ud al-Ansari radi Allahu anhu is the maternal grandfather of Zayd bin Hasan, as is explicitly mentioned in the narration.

Reciting the last two verses of Surah al-Baqarah at night provides protection from the calamities of that night, or they are sufficient for entry into Paradise. And Allah knows best.

Hadith Commentary:

In this hadith, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) himself said "Surah al-Baqarah," therefore there is no doubt regarding its permissibility.

Hajjaj ibn Yusuf also held the view that one should not say "Surah al-Baqarah" and the like; thus, once when he delivered a sermon in Mina, he adopted this very approach during his sermon.
When Ibrahim al-Nakha'i rahimahullah heard of this, he narrated a hadith from Ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu to refute this style.
In that narration, the term "Surah al-Baqarah" itself is used.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Hajj, Hadith: 1750)
Numerous scholars have explicitly stated that there is no harm in saying "Surah al-Baqarah" and "Surah Aal Imran," even though some among the Muslims have reported it as disliked.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: By the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, what is meant is from ﴿آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ﴾ to the end of the Surah, and the meaning of (كَفَتَاهُ) is that they will suffice him for the night prayer. They will protect him from the evil and corruption of Satan, and will provide protection from all kinds of calamities and misfortunes. Their reward and merit will be sufficient for a person.

1397. Commentary: The sufficiency or adequacy (kifayah) of the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah is open to several meanings. For example, they suffice in place of standing in night prayer (qiyam al-layl). Or, they serve as protection from Satan and other calamities, etc. All of these are intended. Or, it may also be that at the very least, this recitation suffices in place of a lengthy recitation.

Benefit:
The meaning of sufficiency here is that whoever does not get the opportunity for the time of Tahajjud (night prayer),
he should at least recite these two verses.
Then he will attain from Allah that mercy
which is attained by the one who performs Tahajjud.
Or it means that they will be sufficient for protection from worries and calamities.
