Al-Bara added: I then went with Abu Bakr into his home (carrying that saddle) and there I saw his daughter `Aisha Lying in a bed because of heavy fever and I saw her father Abu Bakr kissing her cheek and saying, "How are you, little daughter?"

Hadith Commentary:
Among the virtues and merits of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq radi Allahu anhu, this is a very great virtue: that during the journey of migration (hijrah), he accompanied the Noble Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam with utmost devotion and rendered every possible service to him.
As a reward for this, he was called the Companion of the Cave (Yar-e-Ghaar) of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam until the Day of Judgment. In reality, he possesses such superiority over all the Companions radi Allahu anhum as the moon has over all the stars in the sky.
Those so-called Muslims are truly wretched who speak ill of such a true, steadfast believer, a Companion of the Messenger, and defile their tongues with cursing (tabarra) against him.
As long as Islam remains alive in this world, the blessed name of as-Siddiq al-Akbar radi Allahu anhu will remain alive with Islam.
Allah granted him this great reward for his noble services: that until the Day of Judgment, he is resting beside the Noble Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in the Green Dome (Gumbad-e-Khazra).
May Allah Most High send countless salutations and mercies upon his pure soul on our behalf, and on the Day of Judgment grant us, along with all his devoted followers, the meeting with His Beloved.
Ameen, O Lord of the worlds.

Hadith Commentary:
➊
This is a very great virtue among the virtues and merits of Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) that during the journey of migration (hijrah), he accompanied the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) with utmost devotion and served him in every possible way.
As a reward for this, he was given the title of "Companion of the Cave" (Yar-e-Ghaar) until the Day of Judgment.
In reality, he possesses such a virtue over all the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum ajma'in) as the moon has over all the stars.
Even after his life, he rests beside the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
Radi Allahu anhu wa ardah.
➋
In this hadith, it is mentioned regarding al-Bara' ibn Azib (radi Allahu anhu) that he entered the house of Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) and saw Aisha (radi Allahu anha). Certainly, this incident occurred before the revelation of the command of hijab, and at that time Aisha (radi Allahu anha) was not yet of age, and he too had not yet reached the age of puberty.
➌
Imam al-Bukhari (rahimahullah) has mentioned the illness of Aisha (radi Allahu anha) only at this place, even though the journey of migration has been narrated multiple times in Sahih al-Bukhari.
