The Merits of Al-Ansar
بَابُ هِجْرَةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابِهِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ:
(45) Chapter. The emigration of the Prophet and hiscompanions to Al-Madina.
Hadith 3903
حَدَّثَنِي مَطَرُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " مَكَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ , وَتُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ " .
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Allah's Apostle stayed in Mecca for thirteen years (after receiving the first Divine Inspiration) and died at the age of sixty-three.
