Narrated Anas: The Prophet saw the women and children (of the Ansar) coming forward. (The sub-narrator said, "I think that Anas said, 'They were returning from a wedding party.") The Prophet stood up and said thrice, "By Allah! You are from the most beloved people to me."

Hadith Commentary:
1.
The expression of love for the Ansar is in a collective sense.
This does not contradict individual love for someone, as once someone asked the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, "Who is the most beloved to you among all people?" and he mentioned the name of Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu. Therefore, the aforementioned statement of the Prophet regarding the Ansar is not contrary to loving non-Ansar.
(Fath al-Bari: 7/144)
In one narration, it is mentioned that the Prophet stood up to show kindness to them, and then he uttered these words.
