حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمًا نِعَالُهُمُ الشَّعَرُ وَحَتَّى تُقَاتِلُوا التُّرْكَ صِغَارَ الْأَعْيُنِ حُمْرَ الْوُجُوهِ ذُلْفَ الْأُنُوفِ كَأَنَّ وُجُوهَهُمُ الْمَجَانُّ الْمُطْرَقَةُ " .
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The Hour will not be established till you fight a nation wearing hairy shoes, and till you fight the Turks, who will have small eyes, red faces and flat noses; and their faces will be like flat shields.

Hadith Commentary:

In these hadiths, four matters are mentioned: first, fighting against the Turks; second, aversion to the matter of caliphate; third, people being like mines; and fourth, the greatness and nobility of seeing you (the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam)—that is, giving news of future events, which we refer to as prophecy. Some of these have already occurred, and some are yet to occur in the future.

As for the matter of seeing the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), this will be counted among your miracles, that even the most ordinary Muslim is restless and eager to catch a glimpse of the radiant face of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
What is wealth and riches? Even sacrificing a thousand lives for you is a source of pride and good fortune.
Both worlds have declared their own price—raise the value, for cheapness is still a prayer. May Allah Ta’ala grant us the honor of seeing the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) on the Day of Judgment and gather us under your banner.
We hope that, by virtue of this humble service to the hadith of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), Allah Ta’ala will not disappoint us.
