Jabir bin Samurah radi Allahu anhu narrates that once I was observing the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wearing a red garment in the moonlit night.
Sometimes I would look at the moon and sometimes at his radiant face.
Eventually, I concluded that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was far more handsome than the moon.

Someone asked Jabir radi Allahu anhu whether the blessed face of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was shining and long like a sword? He replied:
No, rather it was bright and round like the sun and the moon.
(Musnad Ahmad: 104/5)
Umm Ma‘bad radi Allahu anha described his beauty and elegance in these words:
I saw a man who possessed a radiant complexion and a luminous face.
From afar, he appeared the most beautiful and dignified, and from close, extremely attractive and full of beauty.
