Hadith Commentary:
In the era of ignorance (Jahiliyyah), the tribes of Juhaynah, Muzaynah, Aslam, and Ghifar were considered of lower status compared to the tribes of Banu Tamim, Banu Asad, Banu Abd Allah ibn Ghatafan, and Banu Amir ibn Sa’sa’ah, etc.
Then, when Islam came, these tribes were at the forefront in accepting it; therefore, in honor and virtue, they surpassed the tribes of Banu Tamim and others.

Hadith Commentary:
The aforementioned tribes were deemed praiseworthy because they accepted Islam very early and possessed excellent character; furthermore, their hearts were soft and tender.
In contrast, Banu Asad and others, after the passing of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), joined Talhah bin Khuwailid and became apostates, and Banu Tamim also turned away from Islam by joining the claimant to prophethood, Sajah. Therefore, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) considered Juhaynah, Muzaynah, Aslam, and Ghifar superior in comparison to those tribes.
