Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Amongst all those women who ride camels (i.e. Arabs), the ladies of Quraish are the best. They are merciful and kind to their off-spring and the best guardians of their husbands' properties.' Abu Huraira added, "Mary the daughter of `Imran never rode a camel."

Hadith Commentary:
In this hadith, the clear virtue of the Qurayshi women is mentioned: they show great compassion towards their children and provide them with good upbringing.
They observe the rights of their husbands regarding their wealth and safeguard it.
They keep it as a trust, do not squander it, and spend it with utmost seriousness. Meanwhile, some ahadith establish the superiority of Maryam (alayha as-salam).
The apparent contradiction is resolved by the clarification of Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu): among Arab women, the women of Quraysh have been declared superior because it is the Arab women who ride camels.
Maryam (alayha as-salam) never rode a camel, as she remained engaged in service at home and never traveled; that is, she is not included among the Arab women, so how could her superiority be necessary over Khadijah (radi Allahu anha) and Aisha (radi Allahu anha)? Despite this virtue of Maryam (alayha as-salam), she is not a prophetess, because according to the explicit statement of the Noble Qur’an, prophethood is specific to men.
And Allah knows best.
