Hadith 3293

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "If one says one-hundred times in one day: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Alone Who has no partners, to Him belongs Dominion and to Him belong all the Praises, and He has power over all things (i.e. Omnipotent)", one will get the reward of manumitting ten slaves, and one-hundred good deeds will be written in his account, and one-hundred bad deeds will be wiped off or erased from his account, and on that day he will be protected from the morning till evening from Satan, and nobody will be superior to him except one who has done more than that which he has done."

Hadith Commentary:
That is, whether it is recited two hundred or three hundred times, he will receive even more reward than this. Qastallani said: Whether this phrase is recited one hundred times consecutively each day or in portions, in every case the same reward applies. However, it is better that it be recited one hundred times in the early morning and one hundred times at night, so that one remains protected from the evil of Satan during both the day and the night.

Hadith Commentary:

The mentioned supplication is a highly effective remedy against the schemes of Satan as reported by the narrators.
If one recites it one hundred times daily in succession, or completes this number gradually throughout the day, there will be no difference in reward or effect. However, it is preferable to recite it one hundred times in the early morning and again at night, so that one may remain protected from the evil of Satan during both the night and the day.

At the end of the hadith, it is stated that whoever recites it more than this number will be granted even greater reward; that is, if one recites it two hundred or three hundred times, then even more reward will be attained.
In any case, Allah Ta'ala has informed us of the methods and schemes of Satan, and through the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) has also taught us the way to protect ourselves from them.
And Allah is the One whose help is sought.
