Hadith Commentary:
In one narration it is stated: "On the Day of Resurrection, the sun will be deprived of its light and thrown into the Fire." (Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah: 242/1)
The purpose of throwing them into the Fire is not to punish them, but rather to humiliate those who used to worship them, so that it may be said: Look at the state of those whom you used to worship.
And it is not necessary that everything in Hell will necessarily be punished, because there will also be angels in Hell who administer the punishment, and stones that fuel the Fire.
Whereas the angels are infallible, and the stones and similar things are lifeless and blameless.
Some have also said that since their creation was from fire, in the end they will be returned to the Fire.
