Hadith 3078

Narrated Abu `Uthman An-Nahdi: Mujashi (bin Mas`ud) took his brother Mujalid bin Musud to the Prophet and said, "This is Mujalid and he will give a pledge of allegiance to you for migration." The Prophet said, "There is no migration after the Conquest of Mecca, but I will take his pledge of allegiance for Islam."

Hadith Commentary:
In this hadith, the migration (hijrah) referred to is the migration from Makkah to Madinah at the beginning of Islam.
When Makkah was conquered, the question of migration from there ceased to exist altogether.
This is the meaning of the narration.

Hadith Commentary:
1.
The literal meaning of hijrah is "to leave," and in the Islamic legal terminology, hijrah refers to leaving one's home and homeland for the sake of Islam and coming to the abode of peace (dar al-salam). If this migration (hijrah) is for the pleasure and approval of Allah, it holds a very high status in Islam; but if it is for worldly gain or any other motive, then such a migration has no reward or recompense with Allah.
2.
Those people who leave their Islamic country for the sake of earning money and go to the abode of disbelief (dar al-kufr), and then adopt the lifestyle and culture of that place, such people should reconsider their conduct and reflect on which "category" their migration falls into. In any case, the specific migration mentioned in the hadith is intended; it is not at all the objective to abolish hijrah absolutely.
