Hadith 2928

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Turks; people with small eyes, red faces, and flat noses. Their faces will look like shields coated with leather. The Hour will not be established till you fight with people whose shoes are made of hair."

Hadith Commentary:

Incidents of this kind occurred in 617 Hijri, when a great army of the Turks emerged and killed the people of Transoxiana (Mawara’ al-Nahr).
Then they plundered all the cities of Khurasan.
Only those survived who hid in caves.
They caused devastation in the Islamic cities.
They considered Muslim women lawful for themselves.
They killed their children, and then tied their horses to the pillars inside the mosques.

By “Turk” is meant the Tatar nation, who remained disbelievers until the time of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and the Rightly Guided Caliphs (radi Allahu anhum), until Hulagu Khan the Turk attacked the Arabs and brought an end to the Abbasid Caliphate.
And Allah knows best.
