Hadith 2694

Narrated Aisha: The following Verse: If a woman fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part (i.e. the husband notices something unpleasant about his wife, such as old age or the like, and wants to divorce her, but she asks him to keep her and provide for her as he wishes). (4.128) "There is no blame on them if they reconcile on such basis."

Hadith Commentary:
Then, if the husband, according to the agreement, stays with another wife during her turn or gives her less maintenance, he will not be sinful. This is because the woman has willingly relinquished her right, just as Sawdah radi Allahu anha, with her own consent, gave her turn to Aishah radi Allahu anha, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to stay at Aishah's radi Allahu anha place on Sawdah's radi Allahu anha turn. Mutual reconciliation and harmony between husband and wife hold great importance in Islam.

Hadith Commentary:
The meaning is that there is goodness and blessing in reconciliation, even if one has to forgo some of one's own rights.
In light of the above situation, if the husband, according to the agreed arrangement, stays with another wife during her turn or reduces her expenses somewhat, he will not be sinful because the woman has willingly relinquished her right.
Living together in harmony and reconciliation between husband and wife holds great importance in Islam, as exemplified by the fact that Hazrat Sawdah (radi Allahu anha) gifted her turn to Sayyidah Aishah (radi Allahu anha).
And Allah knows best.
