Hadith Commentary:
(1)
This ruling applies when grain is purchased and brought to one’s home.
By virtue of the command of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), there will be blessing in it, and in the case of disobeying the Prophet’s (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) command, the blessing will be removed. However, to continue weighing at the time of spending is tantamount to removing its blessing, as is narrated from Aisha (radi Allahu anha) that she had some barley which she continued to use for a long time. Eventually, one day she weighed it, and it was finished.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Zuqaq, Hadith: 6451)
This means that measuring and weighing at the time of buying and selling is a cause of blessing, whereas if wealth is measured and weighed when spending it in the way of Allah, it will result in a lack of blessing.
This appears to be the inclination of Imam al-Bukhari (rahimahullah), because he mentioned this hadith in the chapter of the rulings of buying and selling.

(2)
According to us, blessing from Allah is in the fulfillment of the command of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
When, out of disobedience, one neglects to weigh or measure at the time of buying and selling, then due to this misfortune, the blessing will be removed.
Similarly, if one weighs it to calculate household expenses, then due to this misfortune, the grain will also be deprived of blessing.
(Fath al-Bari: 4/438)
And Allah knows best.
