The Book of Superiority of The Night of Qadr
بَابُ تَحَرِّي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْوِتْرِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ:
(3) Chapter. To search for the night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights (of Ramadan).
Hadith 2021
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى ، فِي سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى ، فِي خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى " ، تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ .
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet said, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan ,' on the night when nine or seven or five nights remain out of the last ten nights of Ramadan (i.e. 21, 23, 25, respectively).
