Hadith 1885

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، سَمِعْتُ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ ضِعْفَيْ مَا جَعَلْتَ بِمَكَّةَ مِنَ الْبَرَكَةِ " ، تَابَعَهُ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ .
Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "O Allah! Bestow on Medina twice the blessings You bestowed on Mecca."

From the hadith of Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu), it becomes absolutely clear that upon the Prophet’s (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) exit from his chamber, as soon as the takbir was pronounced, people would begin to stand up, and by the time the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) arrived at his prayer place (musalla), the rows had already been formed.
