Hadith 1777

Narrated 'Urwa bin Az-Zubair: I asked `Aisha (whether the Prophet had performed `Umra in Rajab). She replied, "Allah's Apostle never performed any `Umra in Rajab."

Commentary: 1؎ :
In one narration of Muslim, it is mentioned that when Ibn Umar heard this statement of Aisha radi Allahu anha, he remained silent and did not say anything.
From this, it is understood that the matter was unclear to him—
either he had forgotten,
or he had become doubtful.
For this reason, he did not give any response to the statement of Umm al-Mu’minin.
In this regard, the correct position is that of Umm al-Mu’minin, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not perform any ‘umrah in the month of Rajab.
