´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:` the Messenger of Allah enjoined that Sadaqatul Fitr should be given before the people go out to pray. (One of the narratorsP: Ibn Bazi'said: "Zakatul-Fitr."

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: This hadith pertains to that group in which women would pray alongside men, and their gaze would fall upon the men, and their attention would become focused on the movements and actions of the men, because there was no barrier (partition) in between.

Ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us that the end of Ramadan when the fasting is closed sadaqah (alms) should be paid before the people went to prayer. Abdullah bin Umar used to pay it one or two days before.

1610. Commentary: ➊ This charity was instituted by the command of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). This indicates its obligatory nature, as the word (fardh) has appeared in other hadiths. ➋ The due right of Sadaqat al-Fitr is that it should be given before going out for the Eid prayer.
