Hadith 1109
Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that in the year of the Battle of Tabuk, we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) until he reached Tabuk. Then the king of Aylah came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and presented him with a white mule as a gift. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him a cloak to wear and wrote for him that he would remain as the ruler over his people.
Hadith 1110
Sayyiduna Iyad bin Himar Mujashi’i (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that he presented a she-camel as a gift to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet asked him: “Are you a Muslim?” He replied: “No!” The Prophet said: “(Before Islam) I have been forbidden from accepting gifts from polytheists.”
