باب النهي عن قتل الرسل
Prohibition of killing messengers
Hadith 1046
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ يَعْنِي رَسُولَ مُسَيْلِمَةَ : " لَوْلا أَنَّكَ رَسُولٌ لَقَتَلْتُكَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a person, that is, the envoy of Musaylimah (the liar): "If you were not a messenger, I would have killed you."
