باب ما يجزي من الغزو ومن جهز غازيا
What suffices for participation and equipping a fighter
Hadith 1037
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثنا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ غَزَا ، وَمَنْ خَلَفَ غَازِيًا فِي أَهْلِهِ بِخَيْرٍ فَقَدْ غَزَا " .
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever equips a warrior in the path of Allah has (the reward as if) he himself participated in the battle, and whoever takes good care of the family of a warrior has (the reward as if) he himself participated in the battle.
Hadith 1038
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، قَالَ : ثنا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى الْمَهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " بَعَثَ جُنْدًا إِلَى بَنِي لِحْيَانَ ، قَالَ : " لِيَنْبَعِثْ مِنْ كُلِّ رَجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا وَالأَجْرُ بَيْنَهُمَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) dispatched an army towards Banu Lihyan and said: Out of every two men, one should go, but the reward will be given to both.
