Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a man from the tribe of Muzaynah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and began to ask: O Messenger of Allah! What do you say about the animals grazing on the mountain? (That is, if someone steals from there, what is the ruling?) He replied: He will return an animal for an animal and will also be punished; the hand will not be cut off for stealing grazing animals, except for those animals that are inside an enclosure and their value is equal to the value of a shield, then the hand will be cut off for them. If their value is less than the value of a shield, then double compensation will be taken and as a punishment lashes will be administered. He asked: O Messenger of Allah! What do you say about those fruits that are hanging on the tree? He replied: He will return double the fruit and will also be punished; the hand will not be cut off for stealing fruit, except for those fruits that have been placed in a threshing floor, so whoever steals fruit from the threshing floor and its value is equal to the value of a shield, then the hand will be cut off for them. If its value is less than the value of a shield, then double compensation will be taken and as a punishment lashes will be administered.

**Its chain is weak:** Sunan Abi Dawood: 4394, Sunan an-Nasa'i: 4887, in this there is confusion (ikhtilat) of Simak bin Harb, and there is also criticism regarding Asbat bin Nasr's narration from Simak.
