Hadith 602
Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I buy various types of goods; among them, what is lawful and what is unlawful?" He said: "Nephew! When you buy any goods, do not sell them before taking possession of them." There are other chains of narration for this, in which there are verbal differences.
Hadith 613
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) bought one slave in exchange for two black (Abyssinian) slaves.
Hadith 612
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) had come into the share of Sayyiduna Dihyah Kalbi (may Allah be pleased with him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) bought her from Sayyiduna Dihyah (may Allah be pleased with him) in exchange for seven men.
Hadith 611
Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling an animal for another animal on credit.
Hadith 610
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade selling an animal for another animal on credit.
Hadith 609
Ikrimah reports that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade selling an animal for another animal on credit.
Hadith 608
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling a heap of dates whose exact measure is not known.
Hadith 607
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that we used to buy heaps of grain from caravan people (by estimation). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from selling it before transferring it from its place.

ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : " أَمَّا الَّذِي نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَهُوَ الطَّعَامُ أَنْ يُبَاعَ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : وَلا أَحْسَبُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِلا مِثْلَهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling grain before taking possession of it, but I think that this ruling applies to everything.
Hadith 605
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling dates before they ripen (turn red), and forbade selling ears (of wheat) before they turn white, until they are safe from calamities. He forbade both the seller and the buyer.

حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ
أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَصْلُحُ بَيْعُ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاحُهُ ، قَالُوا : وَمَا صَلاحُهُ ؟ قَالَ : تَحْمَرُّ وَتَصْفَرُّ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible to sell dates before they ripen." The Companions asked: "What is the sign of ripening?" He said: "That they become red or yellow."
Hadith 603
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling fruits before they ripen.
Hadith 590
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (Bay' Gharar) deceptive sales and (Bay' Hasat) pebble sales.
Hadith 601
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A loan and a sale are not permissible together, nor are two conditions in one sale permissible. It is not permissible to take profit from something for which a person does not bear the risk of loss, nor is it permissible to sell something which is not in your possession."
Hadith 600
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade making two transactions in one sale.
Hadith 599
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Delaying (the repayment of debt) by a wealthy person is injustice. When you are referred to a wealthy person (for repayment of debt), accept it, and do not make two transactions in one sale."
Hadith 598
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade Muhaqala, Muzabana, Mukhabara, and Muawama (sale for several years). In the words of one narrator: "He forbade sale for several years and worldly (sales), but permitted 'Ariya (estimation-based sale) as an exception."
Hadith 597
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of fruits for several years.

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلأُ " ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : " وَثَلاثٌ لا يُمْنَعُهُنَّ : الْمَاءُ ، وَالْكَلأُ ، وَالنَّارُ " .
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not withhold excess water to prevent (the growth of) grass." Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "Water, grass, and fire—do not prevent (anyone) from these three things."
Hadith 595
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling surplus water.
Hadith 594
Sayyiduna Iyas bin Abd Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that do not sell water, because I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbidding the selling of water. It is not known which water is meant. In one narration of Sufyan bin Uyaynah (may Allah have mercy on him), instead of "masma‘", the word "akhbarahu" is used.
Hadith 593
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not sell by throwing pebbles, do not deceive (i.e., do not artificially raise the price to deceive), and do not sell by mulamasa (i.e., by merely touching). Whoever buys such an animal whose milk has been withheld (to deceive), and he dislikes it, then he should return it and give along with it one sa’ of grain."
Hadith 592
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade two types of sales: mulamasah and munabadah, and forbade two types of clothing: ishtimal as-samma' and wrapping oneself with a single garment in such a way that the private parts are not covered.
Hadith 591
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of a fetus.
