Dislike of greeting one who is urinating
Hadith 37
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: ثني أَبُو بَكْرٍ هُوَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَجُلًا مَرَّ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُهْرِيقُ الْمَاءَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «إِذَا رَأَيْتَنِي هَكَذَا فَلَا تُسَلِّمْ عَلَيَّ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ تَفْعَلْ لَا أَرُدُّ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامَ».
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was urinating. A man passed by and greeted him with salam. The Prophet replied to him and said: When you saw me in this state, you should not have said salam. If you do this again, I will not reply to your salam.
Hadith 38
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَا: ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: «مَرَّ رَجُلٌ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَبُولُ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ».
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was urinating, a man passed by and greeted him with salam, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not reply.
