Reports on dropping ablution for it
Hadith 20
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ «أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ فَلَمْ يَرَ فِيهِ وُضُوءًا».
Qais bin Talq narrates from his father that he asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about touching the private part, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not prescribe ablution for it.
Hadith 21
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا مُلَازِمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: ثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ كَأَنَّهُ بَدَوِيُّ فَقَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا تَرَى فِي مَسِّ الرَّجُلِ ذَكَرَهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَهَلْ هُوَ إِلَّا مُضْغَةٌ أَوْ قَالَ بَضْعَةٌ مِنْكَ؟».
Sayyiduna Talq (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when a Bedouin came and began to ask: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! What do you say about a man who touches his private part during prayer? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It is only a part of your body.
