Hadith 16
Abdullah bin Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that my father (Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him) and ‘Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) began discussing the nullifiers of wudu. During the discussion, ‘Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned that touching the private part breaks wudu. My father said: I have not heard this. ‘Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Marwan has informed me from Busrah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever touches his private part should perform wudu. We said: Send someone to Busrah (may Allah be pleased with her). So Marwan sent a guard or someone else to her, and the messenger brought back the same answer (as ‘Urwah, may Allah have mercy on him, had said).
Hadith 17
Sayyida Busrah bint Safwan (may Allah be pleased with her) heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: When any one of you touches his private part, he should perform ablution.
Hadith 18
Sayyida Busrah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever touches his private part should perform ablution.
‘Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I asked Busrah (may Allah be pleased with her) about this, and she affirmed it.
Hadith 19
Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Whoever among men touches his private part, let him perform ablution, and whoever among women touches her private part, let her also perform ablution.
