Hadith 14
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ، عَنْ خَلِيفَةَ بْنِ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ «أَنَّهُ أَسْلَمَ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ».
Sayyiduna Qais bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when he embraced Islam, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) instructed him to perform ghusl (ritual bath) with water and lote tree leaves.
Hadith 15
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ابْنَا عُمَرَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ " أَنَّ ثُمَامَةَ الْحَنَفِيَّ أُسِرَ فَأَسْلَمَ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ فَاغْتَسَلَ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَقَدْ حَسُنَ إِسْلَامُ أَخِيكُمْ».
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Thumamah al-Hanafi was captured, then he accepted Islam. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered him to perform ghusl (ritual bath), so he performed ghusl and offered two rak‘ahs (units of prayer). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Your brother has embraced Islam in a very good manner.
