Hadith 1
Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ablution for every prayer. On the day of the conquest of Makkah, when he performed ablution, he wiped over his leather socks and performed several prayers with a single ablution. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: O Messenger of Allah! Today you have done something which you never did before. He replied: Umar! I have done this deliberately.
This hadith is from Ishaq; Ibn Hashim did not mention the wiping over the leather socks.
