باب ما جاء في النحل والهباتWhat is reported about gifts and donations
Hadith 993
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أنا عِيسَى ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ كَالْعَائِدِ فِي قَيْئِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who takes back a gift after giving it is like a person who vomits and then swallows it again.
