باب ما جاء في العمرى والرقبىWhat is reported about ‘umra and ruqba gifts
Hadith 989
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ آدَمَ ، قَالَ : ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الرُّقْبَى لِمَنْ أُرْقِبَهَا ، وَالْعُمْرَى لِمَنْ أُعْمِرَهَا " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ruqba belongs to the one to whom it is gifted, and Umra also belongs to the one to whom it is gifted (for a lifetime)."
