Hadith 985

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِم ، قَالَ : ثنا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْعُمْرَى مِيرَاثٌ لأَهْلِهَا ، أَوْ جَائِزٌ لأَهْلِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Umra (a gift given for a lifetime) belongs to the heirs of the recipient, or it is permissible for the recipient’s family.
