باب ما جاء في النذورWhat is reported about vows
Hadith 936
حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَنْبَسَةَ الْوَرَّاقُ ، قَالَ : ثنا دَاوُدُ ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أُخْتِهِ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيُّ عَنْ نَذَرِ أُخْتِكَ ، لِتَرْكَبْ وَلْتُهْدِ بَدَنَةً " ، وَرَوَاهُ خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ : وَلْتُهْدِ بَدَنَةً .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about his sister, who had vowed to walk to the Ka'bah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah is independent of your sister’s vow; she should ride and slaughter a camel. This narration has also been reported by Khalid Hadhdha from Ikrimah, but without the mention of slaughtering a camel.
