Hadith 923
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أنا هِشَامٌ ، عَنِ الحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ وَلا بِالطَّوَاغِيتِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not swear by your forefathers, nor by idols.
