Hadith 867
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُدَيْرٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عُطَارِدٍ أَبِي الْبَزَرِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنِ الشُّرْبِ قَائِمًا ، فَقَالَ " كُنَّا نَشْرَبُ وَنَحْنُ قِيَامٌ ، وَنَأْكُلُ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Abu Bazri Yazid bin Atard (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about drinking while standing, so he (may Allah be pleased with him) said: During the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), we used to drink while standing and eat while walking.
