باب ما جاء في الأشربةWhat is reported about drinks
Hadith 864
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثنا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْبُسْرِ وَالتَّمْرِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَا جَمِيعًا ، وَعَنِ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَا جَمِيعًا ، وَكَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ جُرَشٍ أَنْ لا يَخْلِطُوا الزَّبِيبَ وَالتَّمْرَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade making nabidh (fermented drink) by mixing ghadir (half-ripe dates) with (fully) ripe dates, as well as by mixing dried grapes (raisins) and dates together. He also wrote to the people of Jurash instructing them not to make nabidh by mixing dried grapes and dates together.
