Hadith 856
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ عِنْدَنَا أَشْرِبَةً أَوْ شَرَابًا مِنْ هَذَا الْبِتْعِ مِنَ الْعَسَلِ ، وَالْمِزْزِ مِنَ الذُّرَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ ، فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا ؟ ، قَالَ : " أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ كُلِّ مُسْكِرٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I said: O Messenger of Allah! We have some drinks—taba‘, which is a wine made from honey, and mizr, which is a nabidh made from corn and barley—so what do you command us regarding them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I forbid you from every intoxicating thing.
