باب جراح العمدIntentional wounds
Hadith 847
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، عَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا سَمَرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ لأَنَّهُمْ سَمَرُوا أَعْيَنَ الرُّعَاةِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) applied (hot) rods to their eyes, because they had applied rods to the eyes of the shepherds.
