Hadith 739
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : ثنا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : لَمَّا أُمِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَخْيِيرِ أَزْوَاجِهِ بَدَأَ بِي ، فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي مُخْبِرُكِ خَبَرًا وَلا عَلَيْكِ أَنْ لا تَعْجَلِي حَتَّى تَسْتَأْمِرِي أَبَوَيْكِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَالَ : يَأَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لأَزْوَاجِكَ إِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى بَلَغَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَدَّ لِلْمُحْسِنَاتِ مِنْكُنَّ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا سورة الأحزاب آية 28 - 29 فَقُلْتُ : فِي أَيِّ هَذَا أَسْتَأْمِرُ أَبَوَيَّ ؟ فَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الآخِرَةَ ، قَالَتْ : ثُمَّ فَعَلَ أَزْوَاجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مثل مَا فَعَلْتُ " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave his noble wives the choice, he started with me and said: I am going to tell you something, but do not be hasty in your decision; rather, consult your parents. Then he said: Allah Almighty has said: “O Prophet! Say to your wives: If you desire the life of this world and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you and release you with a gracious release. But if you desire Allah and His Messenger and the home of the Hereafter, then indeed Allah has prepared for the doers of good among you a great reward.” (, ) I said: About what should I consult my parents? I prefer Allah, His Messenger, and the home of the Hereafter. She says: Then the rest of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did the same as I did.
