Hadith 727
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثنا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تَزَوَّجَ حَفْصَةَ ، أَوْ بَعْضَ أَزْوَاجِهِ ، فَأَوْلَمَ عَلَيْهَا تَمْرًا وَسَويِقًا " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married Lady Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) or another wife, he held a wedding feast (walimah) with dates and sattu (roasted barley flour).
