Hadith 692
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثنا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، وَهِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، يَزِيدُ أَحَدُهُمَا عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ ، قَالَتْ : جَاءَ عَمِّي بَعْدَمَا ضُرِبَ الْحِجَابُ يَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَيَّ ، فَلَمْ آذَنْ لَهُ ، فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : ائْذَنِي لَهُ فَإِنَّهُ عَمُّكِ ، قُلْتُ : إِنَّمَا أَرْضَعَتْنِي الْمَرْأَةُ وَلَمْ يُرْضِعْنِي الرَّجُلُ ، قَالَ : " تَرِبَتْ يَمِينُكِ ، ائْذَنِي لَهُ فَإِنَّهُ عَمُّكِ " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that after the command of veiling was revealed, my (foster) uncle came and began seeking permission to enter upon me. I did not grant him permission. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived, I asked him about it. He (peace be upon him) said: Grant him permission, he is your uncle. I said: The woman nursed me, not the man. He (peace be upon him) said: May your hand be dusty! Grant him permission, he is your uncle.
