Hadith 691
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ : أنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ الأَشْعَثِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالَتْ : أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " انْظُرْنَ مَنْ إِخْوَانُكُنَّ ، فَإِنَّمَا الرَّضَاعَةُ مِنَ الْمُجَاعَةِ " .
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me while a man was sitting with me. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: Who is this? I replied: This is my foster brother. He said: Recognize who your brothers are; fosterage is only established when milk is the child's (main) food.
