Hadith 656

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثنا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ التَّمْرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاحُهُ ، وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling dates before they ripen, and also forbade selling dates on the tree in exchange for dried dates.
