Hadith 636

حَدَّثَنَا الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : ثنا الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بِعْنِي جَمَلَكَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لا ، بَلْ هُوَ لَكَ ، قَالَ : بِعْنِيهِ ، قُلْتُ : فَإِنَّ لِفُلانٍ عَلَيَّ أُوقِيَّةً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَهُوَ لَكَ بِهَا فَأَخَذَهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : تَبْلُغُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَى أَهْلِكَ ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ أَمَرَ بِلالا أَنْ يُعْطِيَنِي " وَذَكَرَ بَاقِيَ الْحَدِيثِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sell me your camel." I replied: "I do not wish to sell it, but you may take it as a gift." He said: "Sell it!" I said: "I owe so-and-so a uqiyah of gold, so in exchange for that, this camel is yours." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the camel and said: "Ride it until you reach your home." When I reached home, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to give me a uqiyah. He also narrated the rest of the hadith.
